Barracuda Cocktail

History of the Barracuda Cocktail

The Barracuda cocktail is an exotic and refreshing drink with tropical notes that emerged in the 1960s. Its recipe is based on the classic elements of tiki culture, which was gaining popularity during that time, bringing tropical cocktails to the forefront. The cocktail’s name refers to the predatory fish, the barracuda, emphasizing its strong and bold flavor.

The Barracuda gained popularity thanks to the combination of rum and Galliano liqueur, which adds spicy and vanilla notes. As a result, the cocktail became a favorite at beach parties and resorts. Its presentation in a tall glass with sparkling wine makes it suitable for festive occasions and light summer days.
