Negroni cocktail is a classic Italian aperitif with a rich and balanced flavor. It combines bitterness, sweetness and spicy notes. Here is its traditional recipe:
Ingredients:
Gin – 30 ml
Red vermouth (sweet) – 30 ml
Campari – 30 ml
Ice – a few cubes
Orange zest or orange slice – for decoration
Preparation:
Fill a glass (usually a rox is used) with ice.
Pour in the gin, Campari and sweet red vermouth.
Stir with a cocktail spoon to ensure all ingredients are well combined and chilled.
Garnish the cocktail with a strip of orange zest or orange slice, pressing it lightly over the cocktail to release the aromatic oils.
Tips:
If you want to soften the flavor, add a little sparkling water.
For a more subtle flavor, use freshly squeezed orange juice, but this departs from the classic recipe.
Enjoy this legendary drink!
