Bellini cocktail

The Bellini cocktail is a refined and light drink that originates from Italy. It was invented by Giuseppe Cipriani, the founder of the famous Harry’s Bar in Venice, in the 1940s. Cipriani named the cocktail after the Renaissance painter Giovanni Bellini because of the drink’s peachy hue, which reminded him of the color on one of the master’s paintings.

Classic Bellini recipe:
Ingredients:
100 ml of sparkling wine (champagne or Prosecco)
50 ml of white peach puree (you can use fresh peaches or ready-made puree)
Ice (optional)
Method of preparation:
If using fresh peaches, peel them and puree them with a blender. You can add a little sugar if the peaches are not sweet enough.
Fill a champagne glass (flute) with the peach puree.
Gently pour in the chilled sparkling wine to preserve the bubbles and stir gently with a spoon.
If desired, you can add ice for extra freshness.
The cocktail is ready! “Bellini” is the perfect drink for sophisticated events or summer parties.
