Ingredients:

  • Espresso coffee (freshly brewed) – 50 ml
  • Cognac – 30 ml
  • Sugar – 1-2 teaspoons (to taste)
  • Cream (optional) – for garnish

Additional:

  • Fireproof spoon or flame-resistant container (for igniting the cognac).

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the coffee. Brew a strong espresso and pour it into a heatproof cup.
  2. Add sugar. Stir the sugar into the coffee until fully dissolved.
  3. Prepare the cognac. Pour the cognac into a spoon or a small container. Ensure the spoon is fireproof.
  4. Ignite the cognac. Carefully ignite the cognac using a match or lighter. Keep a safe distance.
  5. Pour the flaming cognac. Gently pour it into the coffee, enjoying the visual effect of the flames.
  6. Extinguish the fire. Let the flame burn out naturally or extinguish it by covering the glass.
  7. Garnish. Optionally, add some whipped cream on top for a creamy touch.
