Gogol-Mogol: History and Alcoholic Recipe
Gogol-Mogol is not just a cocktail but a drink with history. According to one version, it was invented in the 18th century by a German choirmaster named Gogel. He advised singers to drink a mixture of eggs, honey, and wine to preserve their voices. Another legend links it to Jewish cuisine, where a similar remedy was used to treat colds. In Russia, it became popular as a warming winter drink, and over time, alcohol was added to it.
