The Green Vesper cocktail is an interesting variation of the classic Vesper cocktail made famous by James Bond. This version adds ingredients that give the drink a bright green hue and a fresher flavor. Here’s the recipe:
Ingredients:
45 ml gin (such as Tanqueray or Beefeater).
15 ml of green liqueur (Chartreuse Verte or similar).
15 ml vodka.
15 ml of dry vermouth.
Ice.
Lime or lemon zest for decoration.
Instructions:
Chilling the glass: Place a serving glass (a martini glass works best) in the freezer or fill it with ice to keep it cold.
Mixing:
In a shaker, add the gin, vodka, green liqueur and dry vermouth.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds to chill the drink.
Serving:
Get rid of the ice from the glass (if you chilled with it). Strain the cocktail through the strainer into the chilled glass.
Decorating:
Add a thin swirl of lime or lemon zest to the rim of the glass or dip it into the drink.
Characteristics:
This cocktail has a rich flavor with herbal and citrus notes thanks to Chartreuse liqueur and gin. The bright green color makes it attractive and unusual for serving at stylish parties.
