For a tequila-based Suspicious Lady cocktail, you can make it more interesting by adding a little more harmony of flavors. Here’s my version:
“Shady Lady ” – updated recipe:
Ingredients:
- 50 ml tequila (Two Fingers or other brand to taste)
- 25 ml melon liqueur (Midori or other melon liqueur)
- 75 ml freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
- 10 ml lime juice (to balance the acidity)
- 10 ml agave syrup (or sugar syrup for softness)
- Ice
Preparation:
- Fill the shaker with ice.
- Add tequila, melon liqueur, grapefruit and lime juices, and agave syrup.
- Shake the shaker thoroughly.
- Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass (such as an Old Fashioned or highball).
- Garnish with a grapefruit slice or melon slice to finish.
The cocktail will now have a more balanced flavor with added citrus freshness and a slight sweetness.
